Duck Photography with No Tips

I must admit I love taking photos of animals.
I love to see their expressions; sometimes humorous, sometimes touching or just plain amusing.

I took these photos at the lake in Setia Ecopark where the Sales and Marketing office is.
I love to capture them; 1 in a frame, 2 in a frame, 3 in a frame...

I particularly like to see them peeping out of the bushes.

I was at Garden Walk Garden Talk a few minutes ago and found that she has furnished lots of bird photography tips.
Apparently she acquired some of her skills from Galen Leeds Photography.
If you are looking for Bird Photography tips, click on their links above.
Over here, I'm just sharing some fun photos of ducks.

I like to see a group of ducks facing the same direction as if they are in a mission together.
They seem to be full of determination.

I find those eyes really cute.
They look serious yet filled with uncertainty considering the change in direction every few seconds.

It gets interesting when they suddenly turn to stare at me.

It gets even more exciting when they chased after me.
I thought I should 'snap and run' but I extended my hand instead and got pecked.
It didn't hurt though.

I thought they look cute from behind too.

Come to think of it, I like them in any number and in any position.
I like the fact that they cannot keep still.

I hope you have enjoyed my Duck Photography with No Tips.

  5. Thank you for including my link and Galen's link too. I did learn quite a bit from him on photographing birds. I also got a very long and detailed comment from Victor on the technical issues of cameras and settings that is immensely helpful. He is a WONDERFUL photographer specializing in a variety of subject. I requested that he look at my seagulls for his opinion. Blogging is such a wonderful thing for the ability to share and learn.

Your duck photos are fabulous. I love the one of them chasing you. I know this intimately from those at the Falls. If they think you have food, they swarm. The photos of them in the grass are really good compositions. Contest winners I think. I very much enjoy your animal photos and always look forward to coming here.

  7. Garden Walk Garden Talk put me onto your blog. The photos are stunning. DOF is really great to isolate your subject. Wonderful bokeh on your lens. I would subscribe but I am not linked in google, twitter, etc. So you're bookmarked on my browser. Great work!

  11. Beautiful photos! They truly are! When I was young, I used to chase my neighbours ducks, then when they run sometimes flapping their wings, some of their soft feathers would dropped off. I picked those and my dad used that as a bait for sea-fishing! To catch "ma-yau-yee". Seriously!

  14. I don't think we need any tips to enjoy your ducks. These are great shots. There is something quite comical in their faces and bodies.

  16. Yeah, it's a quack, quack here, quack, quack there and everywhere. Makes me think back of the nursery rhymes I sing for my children. It is good to have such a lovely park in your neighbourhood.

  18. Love these photos! So fun and loved your comment on the eyes, a look of changing directions every minute. Made me laugh out loud when I then looked at their eyes. You captured it perfectly

  19. Those ducks like to see you and the rest of us as well.

Do they have some thing called "photography" in their world?

    May be there is.....

  20. Even while just at the title yet, I already had a good laugh. But the photos are serious, really great with the expressions from the subjects. You really captured most of their movements. Do you know how to distinguish a male from the female? That one at the 3rd photo trying to impress the other is the male, revealed by the curly back feather.
