For those who are keen to know, the bigger insect below is a hornet while the smaller one is a moth.
They were both drinking nectar from the longan flowers harmoniously.
No bloodshed was found at the scene.

Fabulous shots! I especially love the blackbirds all looking in the same direction. Although the next one where they are all looking in different directions cracks me up.

ReplyDeleteWonderful captures. Seeing the birds on that branch and being black, I immediately thought of this old nursery rhyme....
Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty blackbirds,
Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened,
The birds began to sing;
Wasn't that a dainty dish,
To set before the king?
The king was in his counting house,
Counting out his money;
The queen was in the parlour,
Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden,
Hanging out the clothes;
When down came a blackbird
And pecked off her nose.
These are all great images. It's amazing how the two insects can share and get along so well.
ReplyDeleteOne - you are really very good in finding things like these! I wonder why that other bird is there without his flock. Maybe you crop it the way you want it, hahaha! But my mind is not so fertile today for the captions.

The moth is pretty and colourful wings.
