Caption - Mothballing

Welcome to Monday Photo Captions!

Enjoy the captions contributed by fellow bloggers and leave yours for the last two photos.
Selected ones will be posted next Monday with links to your blogs.

For those who are keen to know, the bigger insect below is a hornet while the smaller one is a moth.
They were both drinking nectar from the longan flowers harmoniously.
No bloodshed was found at the scene.

Stewart M : My biology teacher told that me a wasp mimic would keep me safe - I have a feeling he got it wrong!

Bananaz : What else can you do beside mothballing?

Bom : Oof! I need to lose weight. So much easier to get to the top when you are small and light.

One : Strangely, the pairing of orange and black dominates the runway these days.

Thank you to all who contributed to the captions.

Send in your captions for the last two images by this week.
All comments are welcomed too.
May you have a joyful week ahead!

  1. Fabulous shots! I especially love the blackbirds all looking in the same direction. Although the next one where they are all looking in different directions cracks me up.

  3. Get out of here right NOW! We do NOT want to be put into a pie!

    Wonderful captures. Seeing the birds on that branch and being black, I immediately thought of this old nursery rhyme....

    Sing a song of sixpence,
    A pocket full of rye.
    Four and twenty blackbirds,
    Baked in a pie.
    When the pie was opened,
    The birds began to sing;
    Wasn't that a dainty dish,
    To set before the king?
    The king was in his counting house,
    Counting out his money;
    The queen was in the parlour,
    Eating bread and honey.
    The maid was in the garden,
    Hanging out the clothes;
    When down came a blackbird
    And pecked off her nose.

  4. These are all great images. It's amazing how the two insects can share and get along so well.

  5. One - you are really very good in finding things like these! I wonder why that other bird is there without his flock. Maybe you crop it the way you want it, hahaha! But my mind is not so fertile today for the captions.

  6. Great captures but my mind doesn't seem to work today and I can't think of a good caption. :)
