Bloom Day with Onenezz

I want to thank everyone who have been voting for Onenezz in the Digi Wwwow Contest.
I was informed that Onenezz was in the top running 6 for the Top LOL category but did not emerge as the winner.
Thank you once again.
Your support and effort have been much appreciated.

I have been redesigning my small garden and here are some snapshots of what I see this morning.
Canna Lily with rain droplets.
Yes, it's been raining. Thank goodness!
A pathway has been created.
Lawn has been removed.
I am still looking out for an ideal ground cover.
Any suggestions?

I love my spinach and am thankful that I have grown some in a big pot.

Goldee loves spinach too and just chewed up one spinach plant from the vegetable bed just now!!!

There are many sugar apples right now.
Those tendrils belong to a grape plant.
The sugar apple tree double up as a trellis for the grape plant.

Thanks to my brother whom has been fertilizing my plants during his visit from Canada, the Thai Jasmine has more profuse blooms now.

The above is a firecracker plant or Russelia.
If I keep up with my brother's regular fertilizing schedule, I guess these will start cracking real soon.

These buds will be more beautiful tomorrow but I can't wait till tomorrow.
Today is Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

Hop over for more blooms!

  3. One, you have done a great job, emerging in the top running 6. For this you deserve my thumbs up and congratulations! You have improved a lot and gained a bigger following. I love your spontaneous posting, the lols and captions.

Now your Wrightia antidysenterica looks better than mine which is still very lean and lanky. The canna looks like it has a lot of fire in it. For your last plant, you gotta wait 3 days to see Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow on the same plant. Have a great weekend!

  4. We have a fruit here we call a custard apple which looks similar to your sugar apple. Don't know if it's the same fruit by a different name or they just look alike. Does yours have creamy white flesh and black seeds?

  5. Congratulations...that was quite an accomplishment! All of your blooms are incredible...I can smell the jasmine. I have a jasmine as a houseplant...no blooms yet, but it is a young plant.

  9. I am glad you finished well in the top ten. It is a nice honor. You gained many visitors from it too I bet. Happy GBBD. Your blooms welcomed the rain. The rain does keep many closed though, so this week you will have more to show. What you did show is pretty nice. I saw a fruit that looked like the sugar apple when in Costs Rica. It is an interesting shape.

  23. Congratulations on ranking high on the Digi Wwwow contest. I won't be surprised if next year you'll be the no.1

Garden redesign is such a big project no matter what the size of the garden is. Are you familiar with the Ornamental Peanut ground cover? My father has been scattering these in the upper garden with the hope of limiting the growth of the Cogongrass.

Beautiful Canna flowers and the Sugar apples are making me crave for tropical fruits. Nothing beats our tropical fruits in sweetness and taste!

  24. What exactly is a sugar apple? I've never seen a fruit like that before. At least somebody is eating their leafy greens! So cute!

  25. Sounds like you have been very busy removing lawns and creating paths. I think it is interesting that your dogs like spinach. Mine trample the vegetables under foot, but have never tried to eat them! I did not realize that you had a family connection to Canada. It is wonderful that he was able to come home for a visit and was so helpful with your garden.

  26. Goldee loves spinach? I won't tell that to my dog!

  27. Congratz! Good effort try again next year. Goldee loves spinach, not a reincarnation of Popeye? Hope the firecracker plant gets cracking loud soon.
