Kerrie :  If I pull this rope at the right time, those elephants will trip...

Anna : The Thinker by Monsieur Jungle (Rodin's Sculpture)

Daine : Elephant 1 : There is something on your back, Honey.
Elephant 2 : I see something on your back too. Shall I get rid of it for you dear?

Anna : Learning the Ropes.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to the captions and comments too.
Below are 2 new images.
These are wasps which stung me because I accidentally pruned away their nest.
I considered fixing the nest back but it was impossible.
Sorry wasps.
If you are interested to know, the wasps' stings hurt quite badly but the pain only lasted for about 5 minutes.
It's a small price to pay considering that their next generation may be lost due to my carelessness.

Sent in your captions for these last 2 images.
Selected ones would be posted next Monday with links to your blogs.
Have a jolly week!
By the way, you may want to look beneath the leaves before pruning.

  1. Those are amazing shots! I think your story is better than any caption.

  2. I too liked the story. You tried to give them back their home. They all look a little confused now.

  3. Amazing those wasps and your heve capture them so well!
Have also a jolly week. ;-)
    Greetings from a wintery Holland,
    Anna :-))

  4. Wow, thankfully you aren't allergic to them (as is my husband)! I disturbed a nest when I was cutting some rosemary this summer. The wasp were not happy with me either! Great captures!

  5. Haha! The perils of taking shots. They shot back!

    1. The buzzword: home is where the hole is.
    . . . and . . .
    2. There's safety in numbers

  6. What wonderful macros these are! I've been stung a couple of times by wasps, and the last time it hurt worse the next day, than it did when initially got stung. No fun at all!

  12. Fantastic details in the shots of the wasps. They are actually kind of pretty up close (but just in a photograph).

    Happy MM

  13. I laughed at the captions! It's good you are not allergic to the wasps' sting. It looks like the one also here which we are afraid of. I also cut the plant, which i didn't know has their nest. They suddenly stung me at the same time, and I ran as fast as I could while getting them out. My whole left arm had big red hot spots as if it had fever. Then itchiness followed which lasted for two weeks, the scales remained for a month.

  14. Caption #1 ) You should be ashamed of stinging One. She loves us critters.

  15. Oh dear you disturbed the wasps' nest? haha. Pain only 5 mins with no swelling? Bananaz had a very bad experience with one of those killer bees and the pain in my left palm lasted for days with the hand swollen.

  16. Caption #2: A game of Twister in monochrome.
